The Magic Word

I've realized something that I forgot. There is one word that I need to use more often. It's a simple word, yet SO much is conveyed in that little message. And I can't help but wonder how much simpler my life would be right now if I could say it.

Now I finally am putting another post on my blog, but not a very big one. I have been SO busy lately, that I just don't have very much time on the computer. Oh well, at least I'm not bored. But if you have some special project that can only be complete if I will take my next Saturday off, or yet another evening to come over and present some story, song, or flaming-chainsaw juggling act, then I just have that one little word for you . . . .

It's interesting that you post this today, because I was talking to my teacher neighbor today. She said that my son's English teacher has a very strict policy. If the school asks him to do something that takes up more of his time, he will only do it if he can accomplish it during school time. He has 6 children, and he has decided he is not going to stay over time to finish his work. His motto is, "If it isn't part of my union contract, I"m not going to stay after school to do it." I think he has the right attitude, because the state will take every second of his life if they can!

I have always felt this way as a teacher. If I get paid to stay, fine, otherwise I'm gone right after my contracted time is up.
