I took my family back to the tabernacle today. This time we went to watch a broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. This was a very enjoyable trip, and put some spring back into my step. I sometimes find that I wither a bit, musically speaking. When this happens, I need a good concert to perk me back up. But I also feel a little isolated where I live, so trips like this become necessary. I may even make it through the rest of the semester, now, but, if not, I will seek another opportunity for some musical nourishment!

A couple of years ago we took our daughter back to school and stopped to hear the choir. It was great! Where I live I have access to great performances, but I don't have the money! It's so nice that you don't have to pay to hear the Mormon tab sing. :)
I love the accoustics in this primative yet stunningly beautiful building. It is quite amazing that Brigham Young, whom couldn't carry a tune in a bucket designed this building. Obviously it was inspired!
